The MCNS is inviting you to a special Forum on Midwifery 2013.
Hear an update on the situation in Nova Scotia, and take part in talking about our next moves.
Kerstin Martin and Kelly Chisholm will both be onhand to update us about what's happening at the IWK and around the province.
We'll begin with a meet-and-greet with yummy snacks to give you the opportunity to share conversation with like-minded women. Come for an hour, come for the day. Children welcome.
For those who can't attend in person, we'll be streaming online via UStream
We have messenger bags, sweet little children's totes and "Ask Me About Midwifery" buttons. Support the Coalition and treat yourself or a friend.
Come to the Kesham Goodman Library, 330 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. We hope you will come and meet us, find out the latest labours toward regulated and funded midwifery for all of us.
November 30th, from 2 to 4 pm.
See you there.
At the AGM on November 30, we’ll be electing a Board of Directors. Any member of the MCNS is eligible to stand for election—or re-election—to the Board. Each director is elected for a term of one year. There is no limit to the number of terms a director may serve. The Board must have no fewer than five and no more than 15 Directors. Members may nominate themselves, or with the nominee’s consent, be nominated by another member. The MCNS Board meets once a month, usually on the third Sunday of the month. As a member of the Board, you would attend these meetings and participate in some of the activities of the Board. These include advocacy, lobbying, and planning small fundraisers.
Read the call for nominations at the left, and keep in mind that working with women for women can be pretty satisfying...
You can become a member any time, including the day of the AGM.
